According to Golden Finance, after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) held its first cryptocurrency roundtable, Commissioner Hester Peirce shared some key points. She pointed out that the SEC needs to consider crypto transactions separately from assets. Many crypto assets are not securities themselves, but the main issuance of crypto assets used for financing purposes is securities transactions. Therefore, the US SEC is willing to accept inquiries about how to conduct such issuances in the form of registration or exemption transactions. The Crypto Working Group welcomes reasonable non-action letters or exemption relief requests (Task Force welcomes well-reasoned requests for no-action letters or exemptive relief).
