Trump talked with Newsmax host Greg Kelly about how Goldberg, editor-in-chief of Atlantic magazine, was invited to join a group chat about attacking the Houthis in Yemen. Trump said the contact information with Goldberg was provided by the team of White House national security adviser Walz. "We believe this is a licensed person; I guess, the guy with Waltz — the one who works for Waltz — has a Goldberg phone number, or has a call through the app, and somehow, the guy answered the phone," Trump told Kelly. “As far as I know, it’s not confidential. There’s no confidential information. There’s no problem, the offense has been a huge success. “I can only do what others told me; I’m not involved. But I was told-others were not involved at all.
