Golden Finance reported that the Super PAC network funded by the crypto industry will support two Florida Republican candidates to compete for the special election of the U.S. House of Representatives on April 1. The network includes Fairshake, Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress. Among them, Defend American Jobs will launch $1.2 million in ads to support Florida Senator Randy Fine. Fine once posted on the X platform saying: "Floridians want to see crypto innovation" and called for the introduction of "clear regulatory rules."
The Super PAC will also invest $345,000 to support Jimmy Patronis, who plans to run for former Rep. Matt Gaetz. Patronis had previously written to the Florida Management Commission asking for research on whether some state pensions can be invested in digital assets.
Currently, there are 4 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, two of which are in Florida. If the Democrats win all seats, the Republicans will have only one vote left in the House of Representatives.
