Golden Finance reports that Sky co-founder Rune Christensen said that more efforts will be invested in fully migrating MKR to SKY in 2025, in part to help eliminate the confusion surrounding MKR and SKY. Christensen said this would not put MKR holders’ funds at risk and that “new proposals coming out will make migration a requirement in order to gain availability from the token.” It said updates and more details on MKR’s migration and conversion to SKY will be announced sometime in 2025. “Our goal is to ensure that both CoinGecko and the exchange only support SKY, and MKR is just a traditional wrapper representing SKY=24,000 per MKR,” he added. Sky also plans to launch more subDAOs, namely Stars, in 2025. Christensen said changes to SKY token economics, making it deflationary, open the door to a new Star strategy where more subDAOs can be launched and have freedom of action. As part of the new model, subDAO will be launched with a foundation that controls employee bonus pools and makes quick decisions.
