Golden Finance reported that Pavel Durov, founder of instant messaging app Telegram, has obtained permission from French courts to leave France and has returned to Dubai, according to Cointelegraph, citing AFP.
Durov was approved by a French court on March 13 to allow him to travel to Dubai, the report said. AFP quoted an unnamed source as saying: "Durov left France this morning" and added that he left the country with the approval of the authorities.
The specific terms of the court's decision are not clear at present, and Durov himself and his legal team have not made a public statement on the matter.
