The RMB exchange rate against the US dollar fluctuates upward, and there may still be room for appreciation in the short term

According to Golden Finance, in recent times, the RMB exchange rate against the US dollar has shown a fluctuating upward trend. Wind data shows that as of the close of March 12, the onshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar rose 0.54% in March, once rebounding from near the "7.3" mark to near the "7.2" level. Looking longer, compared with this year's lowest point (7.3326), the onshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar has rebounded by about 1.19%. The offshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar also showed a similar trend. As of the close of March 11, the offshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar rose by 0.93% in March. "In recent trading days, the RMB exchange rate against the US dollar has fluctuated upward, mainly due to the sharp decline of the US dollar index. The non-US currencies have generally appreciated recently, and the RMB has also risen accordingly." Wang Qing, chief macro analyst of Oriental Jincheng, said. (Securities Daily)
