According to Golden Finance, people familiar with the matter revealed that the Trump administration will nominate Fed Director Bowman as vice chairman of Federal Reserve supervision as early as today. Earlier this year, Barr resigned as Fed’s vice chairman in charge of regulation, avoiding possible battles with Trump over the position. Barr said in January the risk of a dispute at this position could distract the Fed from his mission. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
