Every time I write articles about AI+Crypto, there are always voices saying, Does AI need Crypto? What else does Crypto besides Gambling? It is hard for you to imagine what it means to a person who firmly believes in "technical narrative + long-termism" when hearing such seemingly correct and unnutritional words?

1) I don’t want to retort, because if I based on the logic of “only money theory”, not only AI, too many narratives such as DeFi, NFT, Gamfi, Metaverse that appeared in the previous cycle have not achieved the expected results, and the basic hype is far greater than the actual application value. So you said that AI doesn’t need Crypto at all, and even said that all the narrative is for Gambling, I really can’t refute it.

2) AI is a historical leap forward for human Internet technology. It completely changed the linkage between users and the Internet, and the demand for active prediction from keyboard input to natural language understanding and greatly expanded the upper limit of human productivity. Therefore, AI is a historical opportunity that takes all industries such as web2+web3+ traditional tracks. Why are everyone taking advantage of AI, but Crypto alone cannot? Moreover, Crypto's combination and reorganization in production relations such as computing power, algorithms, and data can indeed meet and supplement the natural shortcomings in the AI ​​web2 environment.

It can only be said that AI is still in the period of innovation and exploration, and the application of AI Agent has not yet become a necessity in the general public's life. Therefore, the "dispensable" innovation has begun, and the optimization of production relations contributed by Crypto is too advanced, giving people a feeling of being useless. But this is not the case. Some AI Agent applications involving privacy in vertical fields are still driven by Crypto;

3) I have been calling for AI Agent to be a collective redemption of all the old narratives in Crypto history. Why? The fundamental core is that AI Agent directly points to applications, just like many online to offline models conceived in the era of Internet portals, which are only when mobile Internet mobile phones are popularized.

In my opinion, AI Agent is the "mobile Internet application" that belongs to CryptoAt all times, only when AI Agent is fully popularized can Crypto's vision of various distributed data contributions, distributed computing power aggregation, distributed traceability incentives, distributed DePIN edge computing and other visions outlined by Crypto. At that time, many old narratives such as ZK, modularity, chain abstraction, BTCFi, layer2, etc. will truly be useful.

Because if the chain infra block rent seeker is an AI agent fine-tuned by everyone, the consensus architecture of decentralized, transparent and secure chains can truly play the value of the interoperability of AI agents, which is a height that cannot be achieved by AI technology innovation at the web2 level. Just like even now, some people still criticize the meaninglessness of decentralized consensus, Crypto's little penetration of institutions and power in DeFi, RWA and other tracks can be seen by everyone, and there is no need to discuss anything anymore.

I fully agree and understand that the diversity of the Crypto world, whether it is short-term or long-term, are just different pursuits of you and me. Of course, the ways to get rewards and punishments are also different. Although, in the short term, long-termists are very hurt, even a market with absurd and chaotic high PVP needs the existence of a group of Ah Qs who are well versed in the method of spiritual victory.

Because, the market always needs the existence of idealists.
