Golden Finance reported that the Slow Fog Security Team issued an early warning that social engineering attacks using malware were on the rise again. Hackers are tricking victims into downloading malicious scripts by sending fake video call links. In a recent case, an attacker hacked into a Telegram account of a victim’s friend and used it to initiate a call invitation. The Slow Fog Team reminds users that once they find that they are attacked, the following measures should be taken immediately: 1. Protect assets security – transfer funds immediately if the wallet private key or mnemonic backup is stored on the computer; 2. Change password and two-factor authentication - update Telegram, X, email, exchange account passwords and check whether there are unknown logins; 3. Run a complete antivirus scan - use well-known security software such as AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, etc.; 4. If you still have concerns, back up important files, reset the system, and scan everything before restoring.
