On March 9, Simon Gerovich, CEO of Japanese listed company Metaplanet, posted an article on the X platform to call on Japan to follow the United States to establish Bitcoin reserves and build Japan into a "global Bitcoin superpower". He revealed that the company has achieved a 45.1% Bitcoin yield so far in 2025, with its Bitcoin acquisition price of about US$240.2 million and an average acquisition price of about US$83,172. Simon Gerovich added: "I worry about not having enough Bitcoins every day because the window to buy Bitcoins won't open forever, and there will be two kinds of people soon: people who own Bitcoins and people who regret not buying Bitcoins. Metaplanet is accumulating as much Bitcoin as possible so shareholders can rest assured."
