Golden Finance reported that the Thai Economic Crime Defence Division (ECD) recently raided five unlicensed cryptocurrency companies located in Bangkok, Pradesh and Samut Pradesh Province, arresting 11 people involved. The operation targets illegal cryptocurrency trading activities, with the company involved in the case reaching 1 billion baht (approximately US$29.3 million). The police seized 6 computers and related evidence at the scene, and the arrested people included company executives and ordinary employees. ECD commander Thatphum Jaruprat said the case is still under further investigation and the Thai authorities will continue to crack down on illegal financial activities and maintain market order.
