India raids more than 60 locations in Gainbitcoin fraud case, seizing $2.75 million worth of cryptocurrency

According to News.bitcoin, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced this week that it has seized cryptocurrencies worth 239.4 million rupees (about 2.75 million US dollars) in a national raid against the Gainbitcoin fraud case.
The agency conducted searches at over 60 locations in India from 25 to 26 February 2025, targeting individuals and entities suspected of money laundering fraud. The major cities involved in the operation include Delhi, Pune, Nadde, Korhapur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mohari, Jansi and Hubli.
