Former CFTC president recommends Congress give priority to regulation of stablecoins and delay market structure legislation

Golden Finance reported that former chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Timothy Massad called on Congress to prioritize the formulation of a stablecoin regulatory framework and postpone discussions on legislation on the crypto market structure for several years. He believes that the current proposed market structure plan may exacerbate regulatory confusion rather than provide clear guidance.
