In yesterday’s article, I mainly quoted an idea from the reference article:
That is, NFT project parties can consider issuing their own AI agent.
In fact, there are already such cases in NFT projects.
However, the person who initiated the AI agent in this case was not the project party, but the enthusiasts in the community. mfer is an NFT that was once popular on the Internet. A fan of this NFT community, @HeresMyEth, launched an AI agent @mferGPT that focuses on mfer.
However, the current impact of this project is not great, and I have not seen any big-name NFT project personally operate in this way.
In fact, there is no need to limit such operations to NFT projects, nor is it necessarily limited to issuing AI agents. It can completely operate all activities related to AI agents, such as building a platform similar to Virtuals. .
I saw such a case over the weekend.
Speaking of zkSync, its airdrop has left painful memories for countless woolies. After the token airdrop, I seem to have never heard the community discuss this second-layer extension of Ethereum that had high hopes, let alone anyone discussing this second-layer extension project.
But when I was wandering around on the weekend, I suddenly discovered that this second-level expansion of the previous DEX was now transformed to imitate the gameplay of Virtuals. This DEX is Holdstation.
I have interacted with this DEX before, purely for the purpose of harvesting wool. The only impression it left on me is that it supports Pay Master, allowing users to choose to use its token (Hold) to pay for gas. This made my experience a lot smoother.
Other than that, I don’t see any bright spots in this DEX.
If I hadn’t seen the news about it while wandering over the weekend, I wouldn’t have remembered this DEX at all.
In addition to continuing to maintain the DEX business, it has also transformed into an AI agency financing platform like Virtuals, and it seems to have received ecological support.
Its gameplay completely imitates Virtuals, allowing supported AI agents to issue tokens, and users must purchase such AI agent tokens through its platform currency Hold.
At present, AI agents have been issued on this DEX, but these agents do not have many highlights yet, and not many people seem to know about them. Only the project party itself spared no effort to publicize and promote it on Twitter.
Whether this new method works or not, the project team’s quick actions have shown that the project team regards this gameplay as a “life-saving straw”.
This sign makes me even more convinced that the gameplay of Virtuals will quickly expand to other ecosystems and be used by other half-dead projects to "resurrection".
If you combine this gameplay with the countless second-level expansions now, there will be even more room for imagination in subdivision.
Don’t Uniswap have its own Unichain?
Regarding the development direction of Unichain, Messari also has a special article analyzing whether it is a general chain or a DeFi-specific chain.
Now it seems that there is no need to argue. If Uniswap also adopts the Virtuals method to specifically support DeFi-specific AI agents (such as trading agents, payment agents, etc.) on Unichain, and uses its own UNI token as the exchange medium for these AI agent tokens, then it can Develop your own DeFi AI agent ecosystem on your own chain.
And this is also a good method that is justifiable, does not violate supervision, empowers tokens, is safe and effective.
Don’t Boring Ape and Magic have their own dedicated game (second-level expansion) chains ApeChain and Treasure?
They can also use Virtuals' gameplay to support game-like AI agents in their own ecosystems, and provide strong empowerment for their own tokens. In this way, they can also build their own gaming AI agent ecosystem and boost their own token prices.
If this idea can be implemented, I estimate that what will explode next will not only be AI agents, but the simultaneous explosion of second-layer expansion and AI agents----Anyone with strong strength will , projects with a strong ecosystem will consider building their own second-tier extensions, and then build their own AI agent ecosystem on top of the second-tier extensions.
This space for imagination will be very large.
