A woman who falsely modified her payroll and defrauded $5.7 million from cryptocurrency exchange Bybit was sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison by a Singapore court, Golden Finance reported. Ho Kai Xin was sentenced to a nine-year and 11-month sentence after pleading guilty to 44 charges, including five charges of cheating and eight charges of handling the interests of criminal acts. He Kaixin committed these crimes while working on the crypto-network platform WeChat, which is responsible for paying Bybit.
Ho leads the salary team. She was sentenced to six weeks in prison late last month for contempt of court because she spent ill-gotten money despite court orders. Ho's sentence is nearly 10 years and she will start serving her sentence after she expires on January 27.
