According to an interview with SBF by The New York Sun reporter, SBF provided $40 million to the U.S. Democrats in 2020 and $5.2 million to the Biden camp. He is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, on multiple charges including fraud. Civil groups in the United States have previously reported that the possibility of SBF being pardoned is small, although he appears to be fighting for pardons from the current U.S. president.
