Golden Finance reported that Goldman Sachs believes that there is no suspense for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates in December, and then cut interest rates by 25 basis points consecutively in January and March of 2025; and then only cut interest rates at the June meeting and September meeting respectively. However, there are still some variables, with a growing number of Fed officials indicating that the FOMC may slow the pace of rate cuts sooner rather than later, so there is a risk of pausing rate cuts at the January meeting. Traders now see a 97% chance that the Fed will cut interest rates by 25 basis points at its Dec. 17-18 meeting. But stronger November data raised the risk that the Fed would pause its rate cuts in early 2025. Powell's post-meeting remarks and updated economic forecasts will be crucial. (Golden Ten)
