Golden Finance reports that as Bitcoin reaches an all-time high, FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Baltimore Division Special Agent David Paniwozik has discovered that more and more criminals are trying to profit from cryptocurrency scams. “They want to get involved, trying to make money, and this seems like a quick and easy way,” SA Paniwozik said. A major problem is that investors are still unfamiliar with the technology, making them more vulnerable to scams. SA Paniwozik warns: “Whether you want to transfer $1, hundreds of millions or billions, there is no limit. You can seamlessly move it from a US-controlled wallet to an overseas-controlled wallet in just seconds . Scammers set up their own cryptocurrency exchanges to make you believe your investment will grow exponentially, or they say you have to pay in cryptocurrency to 'unlock' jobs that offer high returns."
