Golden Finance reports that MagicBlock, one-third of Solana gaming infrastructure company, is open sourcing the “ephemeral rollup” technology supported by a16z. MagicBlock achieves this by running a non-voting Solana validator that runs with Solana tools and can verify status before the security committee. Temporarily "flexible" computing resources before placing them settled to Tier 1. Solana's data is temporarily moved to a rollup (as on Ethereum (optimistically)) to perform some time- or resource-sensitive functions that are typically performed off-chain on a centralized server.
